I saw this unique pair of old vintage cufflinks on Gene website. Can any expert out there explain some backgroud on
these cufflinks? They really look old and seems to be before 1900s?

The cuff link/pin set look very similar to the ones the Schering Company gave out in the 1960s as part of it's Coricidin cold tablet promotions. With a large floor stand purchase, they would ship one bronze mortor and pestle (approximately 5 to 6 inches tall) to the ordering store. Schering representitives used the cuff link & tie tack or cuff link & tie clasp (depending on the year) as additional insentives. I have several sets of them, but no boxes. I do not remember how they were packed.
