Father of the Bride Gift?

wedding cufflinks

I really am trying my hardest to find a gift for my dad for my wedding in May. My dad is not traditional, i am not going to get him cufflinks, a wallet, a keyring, a hankie, all that stuff…he wouldn’t enjoy that. He loves music (country especially). I just want a gift that is very memorable and will make him think of his little girl everytime he looks at it. HELP!!

ps: my budget is getting tighter as we speak!

Another problem on gift selection on wedding day! Phew! People are always so busy.

A picture, framed, of you in your wedding dress!! (Could be just trying it on on any old day, or could even get a quick photoshoot) Or of the two of you.

Cripes!! I was supposed to get him a gift???? A framed picture of you both would be great. Aren’t there ones that you can record a message on the frame? If so, record a song you both like.

How about a DVD of photos of the two of you throughout your life. You could start it with your Dad holding you as a newborn and add pictures of memorable times you’ve shared while you were growing up. You could add a song that’s special to both of you as background music. Here’s the lyrics to My Little Girl. This is a very pretty Father/Daughter song. My daughter danced with her Dad to this song at her wedding.
Something like this would be much more memorable to him than just a picture in a frame. It wouldn’t cost very much either, if you’re able to put it together yourself.
    Best of luck to you.

Why don’t you give your father something that is valuable and will last a lifetime? Jewelries is always treasured and will only shows how much you love your father. So a watch or a necklace will be a very good option.Surely your father will think of you every time he will use it.

What I did for my dad was this:
I had asked my mom for a picture of my dad holding me when I was really young, a picture of me when I graduated high school and a picture of him walking me down the aisle before the ceremony.
I had bought an 8X10 frame (can get a nice one at Wal-Mart) and had the words Daddy’s Little Girl and also a copy of the lyrics to the song he and I danced to.
I know money is tight, but this is priceless.
